Darren Staloff is Professor of Humanities in the Hamilton School. He taught for many years at City University of New York, where he was Professor of American History and Director of the Hertog Scholars Program. and has been a fellow of Princeton University’s James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions. His research focuses on colonial and revolutionary America. He has published The Making of the American Thinking Class: Intellectuals and Intelligentsia in Puritan Massachusetts (Oxford University Press, 1997) and Hamilton, Adams, Jefferson: The Politics of Enlightenment and the American Founding (Hill and Wang, 2007).
