Daniel Jacobson is the Bruce D. Benson Professor of Philosophy at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He has published extensively on topics in aesthetics, ethical theory, freedom of speech, metaethics, moral psychology, the philosophy of emotion, and the moral and political philosophy of John Stuart Mill. He is the coauthor of Rational Sentimentalism and is currently working on another book project, Mill’s Reconciliation of Liberty and Utility.
