Hamilton Faculty Publications Spotlight: Dr. Max Skjönsberg Featured in Fusion, National Review, and Law & Liberty

Dr. Max Skjönsberg, Associate Professor of Humanities at the Hamilton School of Classical and Civic Education, has recently published three new essays in prominent national venues, each addressing enduring debates in political thought and the intellectual history of liberty.

In Fusion: In the Tradition of Liberty—edited by fellow Hamilton faculty member Dr. Sam Goldman—Dr. Skjönsberg’s essay, “Capitalism By Another Name,” explores the conceptual language surrounding markets and political economy, revisiting historical arguments that continue to shape contemporary debates.

He also published a book review in National Review, titled “The Hamilton–Jefferson Tug of War Still Defines America,” examining the enduring tension between two foundational visions of the American republic and their relevance for modern political life.

In addition, Dr. Skjönsberg contributed an essay to Law & Liberty, “Maitland, Smith, and Laissez-Faire,” analyzing key figures in the development of liberal political and economic thought.
