Hamilton’s Thomas Vozar Awarded 2025 Calvin & Rose G. Hoffman Prize
The Hamilton School is pleased to announce that Dr. Thomas Vozar has been awarded the 2025 Calvin & Rose G. Hoffman Prize for a distinguished scholarly essay on Christopher Marlowe.
The prize was awarded for Vozar’s forthcoming article, “Et tu, Marlowe? Caesar’s Last Words from Shakespeare to Charles I.” The essay explores the enduring literary and political afterlife of Caesar’s final words, tracing their transformation from the early modern stage to the era of Charles I.
The Calvin & Rose G. Hoffman Prize is an internationally recognized award honoring outstanding scholarship on the life and works of Christopher Marlowe. The recent announcement also noted a commendation for Sir Jonathan Bate.
We congratulate Professor Vozar on this significant achievement and are proud to see Hamilton scholarship recognized on the international stage.
