Hamilton’s Thomas Vozar Publishes New Book on Early Modern European–Islamic Encounters
The Hamilton School is pleased to share that Assistant Professor of Humanities Thomas Vozar has published a new book, Isaac Barrow’s On the Turkish Religion: A Latin Poem on Islam from Ottoman Istanbul.
Published by Bloomsbury Academic, the volume presents a translation and analysis of a rare seventeenth-century Latin poem written in Ottoman Istanbul, offering insight into early modern European perspectives on Islam.
