Barnaby Crowcroft is an Assistant Professor of Humanities at the Hamilton School. Before coming to UF, he has held postdoctoral and research fellowships at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, the Clements Center for National Security at the University of Texas-Austin, as well as at the universities of Vienna and Berlin. Crowcroft’s research explores new perspectives on the rise and fall of the British empire, mostly in the Middle East and West Africa, as well as the history of alliances and international human rights regimes. He writes regularly for the Literary Review.
