Warriors in Washington: World War II and the Politics of American Power

Dr. Grant Golub is an Assistant Professor of American History, Department of National Security and Strategy, U.S. Army War College. He is an expert on U.S. foreign policy and grand strategy whose research focuses primarily on American diplomatic, military, and political history and its contemporary relevance. His first book, Warriors In Washington: Henry Stimson, the U.S. Army, and the Politics of American Power in World War II is set to be published on Sept 30th , 2025, with Cambridge Univ Press. He is the author of peer-reviewed journal articles in The International History Review and the Journal of Strategic Studies, and his commentary has been published in The Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, Business Insider, The National Interest, Real Clear Defense, Responsible Statecraft, and other leading publications. Dr. Galob is also a Non-Resident Fellow at Defense Priorities, a leading Washington, DC foreign policy think tank dedicated to refashioning American grand strategy and foreign policy to focus on safeguarding vital U.S. national interests at home and abroad. He earned his Ph.D. In international history from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and also has an MSc in the history of international relations from LSE and an A.B. in history and American studies from Princeton University.
