  • What is Strategic Programs and Partnerships?

    Hamilton’s Department of Strategic Programs and Partnerships develops and manages educational initiatives, partnerships, and outreach programs that advance the Hamilton School’s mission of strengthening civic education and classical learning throughout Florida and beyond.

  • What types of organizations do you work with?

    We collaborate with K–12 schools and districts, colleges and universities, nonprofit organizations, museums, historical societies, state agencies, and philanthropic partners that share an interest in civic education and teacher development.

  • How is this different from the Hamilton School’s academic programs?

    While the Hamilton School offers academic degree programs and conducts research, Strategic Programs and Partnerships focuses on external engagement—developing professional learning opportunities, statewide initiatives, collaborative projects, and educational resources for educators and institutions.

  • What kinds of programs do you offer?

    We currently offer a variety of programs to support K-12 and Community Colleges, including:

  • Can you customize professional development for our school or district?

    Yes. Many of our programs can be adapted to meet the needs of individual schools, districts, or educational organizations. Send us an email at Hamilton-Partnerships@ufl.edu and a member of our staff will get in touch to discuss the needs of your district.

  • Do you provide support for schools interested in classical education?

    Absolutely. We work with schools exploring or implementing classical education through professional development, consultation, curriculum guidance, and connections with subject-matter experts. Currently we are working on a first-of-its-kind project to convert a Miami-Dade Public Elementary School to a classical academy. You can learn more about that project here.

  • Can you help us develop grant-funded educational programs?

    Yes. We frequently collaborate with educational organizations on grant-funded initiatives, including program design, implementation, professional learning, and project management.

  • Who can propose a partnership?

    We welcome inquiries from educators, school systems, universities, nonprofit organizations, foundations, and other institutions whose goals align with the Hamilton School’s mission.

  • How do I begin a partnership with the Hamilton School?

    Simply contact us through the website. We will schedule an initial conversation to learn about your goals and determine whether a collaboration would be a good fit.

  • Can organizations outside Florida partner with you?

    Yes. While many initiatives focus on Florida, we also collaborate with regional and national organizations.

  • Who should attend Hamilton School professional development programs?

    Our programs are designed for classroom teachers, instructional coaches, school leaders, curriculum specialists, and higher education faculty interested in strengthening civic education and the humanities.

  • Are your professional development programs aligned with Florida state standards?

    Our teacher-facing programs are designed to support educators in meeting applicable academic standards while emphasizing primary sources, historical inquiry, civil discourse, and constitutional principles. In programs where Florida teachers are the focus, the material will always be aligned with Florida Benchmarks and Standards.

  • Do participants receive professional development credit?

    Many programs provide certificates of participation or professional development credit when applicable. Individual program descriptions will specify available credit.

  • Are Hamilton School educational resources available online?

    Many of our instructional materials, guides, and program resources are available through our website, with additional resources added as new initiatives are completed.

  • Can I use your educational materials in my classroom?

    As a public institution, the vast majority of our curricular materials are free of charge and do not require attribution. However, there may be times where certain use cases may have limitations. Individual resources will indicate whether they are freely available, require attribution, or are intended for participants in specific programs. If you have any questions or concerns about usability, feel free to reach out to our team
