Dictatorship Revisited brings together leading scholars to examine the historical, legal, and political dimensions of dictatorship—from Roman constitutionalism to modern executive power. Through two panel discussions and a keynote lecture, the conference explores how emergency authority, constituent power, and legal order have shaped understandings of dictatorship across time. The event concludes with a keynote address by Adrian Vermeule on the evolution of dictatorship and prerogative in modern legal thought. Open to the public.
