
Hamilton School Congratulates Rosenthal-Levy Scholars
Announcing the Inaugural Class at the University of Florida
The Hamilton School of Classical and Civic Education is proud to welcome the inaugural class of Rosenthal-Levy Scholars—an extraordinary group of undergraduate students selected to join a bold new initiative in partnership with the Robert M. Beren Program on Jewish Classical Education.
Launched by Tikvah with a vision to restore moral seriousness and civilizational purpose to higher education, the Rosenthal-Levy Scholars Program brings together a diverse group of intellectually ambitious students committed to exploring the great ideas and traditions of Jewish, Western, and American civilization.
The Scholars:

- Sari D’Agostino – Georgia
- Robert Eskenazi – Connecticut
- AJ Horowitz – New Jersey
- Gabriella Mayer – New York
- Phoebe Nissanoff – Florida
- Lena Nadaner – Maryland
- Catalina Reichard – Louisiana
- Elena Ruiz – Virginia
- Guy Taylor – Maryland
These students were selected from hundreds of applicants not only for their academic excellence and leadership, but for their profound sense of civic purpose and desire to pursue a classical education in a uniquely Jewish key.
A Bold, Multi-Faceted Program
The Rosenthal-Levy Scholars will pursue a full academic major at the Hamilton School in one of the following programs:
- Great Books and Ideas
- Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law
- War, Statecraft, and Strategy
- American Government, History, Literature, and Law
They will also study:
- Jewish and Zionist thought and culture
- Modern Hebrew
- Abroad in Israel, where they will engage with Israel’s history, literature, and strategic realities
- In lectures, conferences, and travel opportunities aimed at preparing them for leadership in the civic arena
