Nuno Palma is Professor of Political Economy at the Hamilton School for Classical and Civic Education. Palma’s research lies at the intersection of economic history and political economy, with a particular focus on long-run economic growth and development, monetary and financial history, macroeconomics, and historical political economy. His work often uses historical evidence to shed light on development patterns, institutional change, and comparative economic performance across countries. He is the author of more than 30 research articles and two books, including most recently, Europe’s Poison Pill The Unintended Consequences of Cohesion Funds and Why They Must End.
